Spring Break Destinations - Jamaica

One of the most beautiful places to stay in the world is Jamaica. It seems like such a far a way place to go for a spring break vacation. But hundreds of hundreds of college students head down there every year. Jamaica has the best white sand beaches of anywhere in the worlds. Since Jamaica is an island there are many sections of beaches to choose from.

If you are there on spring break then you may want to choose a beach that has plenty of water sports and activities but if you are there for a party atmosphere then you should stay away from the beaches where families like to go. This way you won’t be disturbing anyone while they are trying to have a good time too.

There are some really great hotels on the island of Jamaica. One of them is the Treasure Beach Hotel. This hotel has 36 rooms at a beautiful beachfront resort. This hotel is located on Main Street and has some of the best hotel accommodations on the South Coast of the island. There is an onsite restaurant called Yabba Restaurant. It is said to have some of the best local and international food on the island.

There are some really great restaurants on the island. If you are a student on spring break you may not have the budget to eat at 5 Star Restaurants. There are less expensive places to eat on the island. You can try Billy Grassy Park, Little Ochie and The Native just to name a few. There are so many great places to eat and depending on how much money you want to spend on dinner will determine where you will eat.

Going to Jamaica could be a once in a lifetime opportunity, so try to experience as much as you can. This would include the Jamaica Zipline Adventure Tour, Alligator Pond and Peat Taylor Tours. There are plenty of things to do. Just like any place else where spring breakers gather there are some safety precautions that you have to take. Jamaica is a beautiful place to visit but it can be very dangerous especially at night when you don’t know the area around the resort. It is best to do some research when it comes to another city or location where you have never been.

It is a good idea to stay around the resort and if you go into town like some do to see the sights and do some shopping. Make sure that you take public transportation or go as a group with other students. Never go anywhere alone and never go with anyone you just met. This happens a lot on spring break, people “ hook up” with each other and they chalk it up to spring break experience but it can be very dangerous especially for women. You can have fun and meet new people but just be careful. Stay with a friends, plan ahead and have a great time.
