Spring Break Destinations: Daytona Beach

One of the most popular spring break destinations is Daytona Beach, Florida. Daytona Beach is a haven for College students in March or April. There is so much to see and do in Daytona Beach besides party. For starters, Daytona has some of the best beaches in Florida. The beaches are open and the best part is that they are always free. This is a great way to unwind after a stressful school year; the beach is also extremely accessible to handicap students too. If you want to see what is beyond the beach, then try the famous Daytona International Speedway, check out their schedules and find out what events will be taking place when you are planning to be down there. If you are more of the adventurous type then check out the Banana Boat and jet boat rides. There are waterslides or even deep sea diving trips. If you enjoy surfing you can rent a surfboard and try your hand and being a surfer on one of America’s most beautiful beaches.

Daytona Beach has many great sites to see but when all is said and done at the end of the day, you will want a nice bed and a good meal. Daytona Beach has those too. Since Daytona Beach is a very popular destination for vacationers as well as students on spring break. There are some great places to stay, if you are looking for a motel rather than a hotel to save you money then you can try the Best Southern Sun Plaza or the Red Carpet Inn. If you want to stay more central on Daytona Beach then you can try the affordable Budget Inn, Coquina Inn and the Days Inn Speedway.

Now if you want to spend some money and take a break from fast food, Daytona Beach has some great restaurants for you. There is the Chart House Restaurant; this is a more upscale restaurant with great food and great atmosphere. If you are looking to drink and have a good time then this may not be the restaurant for you. If you are looking to hear some great music and have a great dinner then the Ocean Deck is just what you are looking for. They gave salads, sandwiches and seafood (what can be better than Florida seafood?).

The best way to plan for spring break is to plan ahead of time. Since there are hundreds of hundreds of students taking spring break at the same time, you want to make sure that you great a place to stay, these rooms fill up fast. Do some research before you make plans, some students assume that they can find accommodations once they get there but that doesn’t work and you can get into some real trouble by planning a spring break vacation this way. Plan ahead and make your reservations and most of all have fun.
