    Every student has the right to an education and every student has a right to financial aid. There are Federal Loans, State Loans, Private Loans, Grants and Scholarships. You would be very surprised at how many scholarships are out there for students studying in any program. If you are a student and you are looking for scholarships to apply for and you have been active in the Boys and Girl Scouts, then there is a scholarship available for you. If you are a student political activist with the proof to back it up then there is a scholarship for you and if you are a beauty queen or aspiring to be one, there are scholarships for you, too.

    Don’t think that just because students attending high schools are entitled to scholarships, they aren’t. There are scholarships available for students who have been home schooled; students who have attended vocational schools and even technical schools have scholarships. Every student who wishes to attend College and really needs these scholarships are the ones who should be applying. Scholarships are very competitive and often students apply for them to help take the burden off of their families but students who really need the money would be first ones considered. You have to make sure that when you apply for these scholarships that you fill them out well before the deadline to be considered.

    There are scholarships for Women, Minorities and Multi Ethnic Students. These scholarships are often awarded to students who are looking to get into the fields of study where they are most needed such as technology, vocational studies, math and science. Here is a place that you may not have thought to look and that is with Political or Religious Affiliations, these groups usually have money to offer but students often don’t think to look there. Check with local religious organizations and get more information.

    If you are a student with a disability, these disabilities include blindness, learning disabilities or deafness there are scholarships for you. If you are living with Cancer, AIDS, and Epilepsy or have been diagnosed with Autism, there are plenty of scholarships for you. There are scholarships for Survivors of Disasters such as children of those who died on Sept 11, 2001. Hurricane Katrina Survivors and more. Foster Children may receive free money due to their situation. There are scholarships for everyone.

    To apply for any of these types if scholarships you first have to find them. If you are looking for a scholarship for Women, then type in Women’s College Scholarships into the search engine and you will find a lot of results. Do some research and find out which scholarships are available and download or send out for the application. Keep track of deadline and make sure that you fill out these applications carefully, make sure that all sections are filled out properly. You don’t want to get an incomplete on the application. Remember fill them out legibly and honestly. You will have a better chance of winning these scholarships if you stand out.
