We should ease up on Saudi Arabia

Lately, the US government has been attacking the Saudi Arabian government. Ever since the hijackings on 911 we have been partially blaming the Saudi Arabian government for the attacks on the USA. We have assumed that because 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi Arabian that the government was behind the attacks. Is this necessarily true? Tom McVeigh, and Terry Nichols were both Americans, yet the bombed the federal building in Oklahoma, does that mean that Clinton was behind those attacks? NO!! Why should we blame a whole country for 15 people’s mistakes? Why destroy millions of innocent lives when we can just get those that are to blame. Where is the justice in this situation? Now, don’t get me wrong, I know Saudi Arabia has some things they need to be blamed for, but not for this. They had no reason to attack America. In the past the Saudi Arabian government has been a friend of the US, not an enemy. In the past they have accompanied us in battle. They let us use their soil as bases during the cold war. Why would they go from friend to foe for no reason? We have not attacked them, and they have not attacked us. Now we are attacking them, and for what? Unless you can come up with a good reason for attacking a country for 15 peoples mistakes, then we have no reason to be attacking the Saudi Arabian government.

Also, with the war against Afghanistan, is that really necessary? Did they attack us? Not really. The terrorist did, not the government. We are not even sure if the government was even behind the attacks. We should be punishing the attackers, not the citizens. There has been enough blood shed, and enough lives lost. Why do more damage. We should be trying to make peace with the countries, not destroying them. The nuclear weapons, and weapons off mass destruction need to be put away until a greater cause.

Another thing is the weapon search in Iraq. This I understandable. No one should have a reason to be creating weapons of mass destruction. However, I can’t help but wonder why Iraq would have any reason to use these weapons. They have no direct enemies at this current point in time. Also, how is it any of our business if Iraq is making weapons of mass destruction? It is not our country, therefore not our business. I could understand if they had signed an agreement (which I think they did). Then we should be all means be searching.
