America In Trouble?

In the United States, hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants come to America in the search for a better life. They do this without going through the proper process of becoming a U.S. citizen. As you will see illegal immigrants are accepting benefit packages, increasing the crime rate, and taking away jobs from the American citizen.

Hard working citizens feel that it is unfair to them that illegal immigrants can come to United States and receive benefit packages, such as aided beneficiary packages that give immigrants help in raising their children. In addition, illegal immigrants get help from Medicare. Just because they cannot pay the bills the government does it for them with welfare. The actual citizens have to work very hard to receive benefit packages, while illegal immigrants feel that they can enter America and go directly to welfare and other benefits that are only allowed to citizens. If an illegal immigrant is going to have a baby, she can cross the border into United States and give birth to that child which makes the baby a naturalized American citizen. This entitles the baby’s parents who have illegally crossed the border, to become American citizens and can go right into welfare programs.

The United States is becoming very crowded with continually increasing legal immigrations along with the illegal immigrants. This leads to several problems for the economy, such as the crime rates that soar above normal. Illegal immigrants feel that they do not have to follow the rules that citizens have to follow. All illegal immigrants that come to America want a better life, so a small majority starts to corrupt our society because they don’t have any guidelines to follow. This does not help out or economy at all. Another economic problem that is occurring more rapidly is the limitation of space. Illegal immigrants that do not have jobs have to live on the streets because apartments cost more now due to the demand for property. Most of the illegal immigrants live in the slums, which is the lower level of society. They have to do this because the demand for workers has declined and because immigrants can’t find a decent job with their specifications. Another problem that our economy has to face is having problems communicating with one another. This really hurts our economy, because illegal immigrants are unable to speak the English language because the immigrants aren’t U.S. citizens. Trading or even going to the store becomes a more difficult task. Citizens are trying to help out illegal immigrants by trying to communicate, but this process is very difficult. I work at a hardware store and when people can’t speak English, I don’t know what they want. All I can figure out is a small portion of what they are looking for when they show me by using their hands.

Illegal immigrants are taking away jobs from working citizens, because they work for lower pay and for longer hours. The rate of unemployment in United States increases every year. Over 25,000 people lost their jobs in the past year due to the rise in immigration. A U.S. citizen should have the right to get certain jobs first because illegal immigrants just want the job so that they can pay for their families at home. After awhile the illegal immigrant allows his family to move across the border so that they all live together. This is a major problem for citizens, because now there are more illegal immigrants taking jobs away and leaving them seeking unemployment. Most of the illegal immigrants think that America is the land of opportunities so they should come over in search for new jobs and for a better life. This is not always the case, because the land of opportunities is now becoming a land with defrauding immigrants.

Illegal immigration is never going to go away. All we can do is to increase security and provide more background checks on immigrants that are trying to find jobs in America. Illegal immigration is really corrupting our society, from everything from not knowing the English language to making the crime rate go up over the past years. If we allow so many immigrants to become citizens, then what is going to be left for the American people? Citizens will lose most of their rights and then become the minority because illegal immigrants will be the majority.
