Titanic

The movie Titanic is one of the best movies of the decade of the 90's. It was nominated for 14 Academy Awards,including Best Picture,but the movie won only eleven of them. Titanic was directed by James Cameron,a director best known for his desire for "perfection". He was very interested about his job in Titanic and even went to the real wreck to know more about it. The movie was starred by Leonardo Dicaprio(Jack Dawson) and Kate Winslet(Rose DeWitt Bukater). And it took 7 months of work so it could be done. More than 200 people worked on it and at the end it paid off being at the top of the box office and earning more that $200 million. The basic story of the movie is about a rich girl that couldn't find her purpose in life until she met this man from 3rd class in the famous ship,Titanic. Her family and her fiancee didn't accept him because of his social level, but she fell in love with him because he saved her in every way she could have been saved. But when the ship collided with an iceberg in the middle of the North Atlantic and started to sink the problems started to arise. At the end, instead of getting into a life boat, Rose decides to stay on the ship with Jack where he dies frozen in the water and Rose stays alone.When Rose got to New york she even changes her last name to Dawson In the movie the story is told by an old lady, wich is Rose Dawson 84 years later. I think its a really good movie that will make even the toughest person loose a tear.
