This article is based on my perspective of being in Junior High School and beyond. I think that the worst thing that I did in Junior High was be in the crowd that just didnt care about anything but their looks or boyfriends or clothes. I mouthed off to teachers and was in the office most of my time while I was there. But now, looking back on it, I realize I was stupid. Yes I did pass but not with the grades I wanted and I definitely didn't have the recommendations I wanted from the teachers to do the stuff I had always wanted to do in High School. So the first thing that I would tell you to do is to have an open mind for EVERYTHING. Not just clothes or the people you hang out with. I mean dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with those things, it just can't become everything to you. Another thing that I really think is important is to not talk trash. If you're just going in to Junior High, let me tell you it is crazy. All the hormones are flowing and everyone causes drama and not talking trash about everyone you know or everyone you just don't like will keep you out of all the drama. When you talk about someone to somebody else, it just makes the person you told go tell the other person what you said and then make the person you were talking about talk about you and so on. So really if you think about it, all you're doing is putting a target on your own back. Another thing to know not to do is start fist fights between other people because when they fight and go to the office they talk about it and then it all comes down on you. Therefore, I'm sure you dont want that blame. This one is gonna sound crazy but listen to your peers on advice. They do help you and sometimes you will run across a friend that doesn't just want to have fun with your life. They will make sure they have helped you out and give you the advice you need. Now this one only applies to some of you... stay away from the pot and cigarettes. In a lot of Junior High Schools, pot smoking starts to go around because kids think that is is better than crack or meth. Well it's not and when I look back on all the things I did I see that smoking was horrible and stupid and I wish that I could go and take it all away because just because for that moment in time, I felt great. But afterward, I felt stupid. This one kinds goes with the the last but DON'T DRINK whatever you do. It's so dangerous and before long you will get caught doing it. I admit I had alot of fun drinking but it never did anything to me but make me feel good for awhile and make me feel like hell the next day. And one last thing I want to tell you is have fun. Keep up with your work but have fun while doing it. There is nothing better than looking back on your past and not regretting any of it.
