Growing Up Too Fast

I have been on this site for a year. I frequent the forums, and I can say I have seen just about everything, but in the advice forum, I am still astounded on a frequent basis. I grew up with Nintendo, and I played it all the time. I was a video game maniac, but I enjoyed my childhood. I wasn't thinking of having sex constantly, or getting anyone pregnant when I was 1315. I was just a normal kid. In today's society, however, you're a deviation from the norm if you're a virgin over 17years old. I have always been a guy that enjoys a good time. I like having clean, safe fun. I do not drink, I do not smoke. That stuff has always been too 'grownup' for me, and I don't think I would like it. I'm the exact same way with coffee...never tasted a sip. Too 'grownup' for me. I like being a kid; I don't want to grow up. Things are coming at me fast enough, I do not want to speed up the process. According to these posts in the advice forum, however, there are kids that do want to do this.. There are kids losing their virginity at ages as young as 11...posibly younger; I don't know. It's a terrible thing to think about. At 12 years old, you're in sixth grade, or the end of fifth! That is absurd! Why are you having sex in elementarymiddle school? Contrary to whatever these kids have brainwashed themselves into thinking, you cannot find love at such a young age. You get that butterfly feeling in your stomach? That is infatuation. Love is being able to get to that stage, move past it, and still keep the feelings towards eachother just as strong. I've seen plenty of couples get together, say they love eachother within a week, and then they're over eachother and break up a month later. That's not love. Love has been dilluted down to a point where the word love means absolutely nothing these days. Teenagers have killed love. Sex is a whole different matter. Sex is being tossed around eversoeasily these days. Apparently, when a girl strikes 13, it's time to take off the clothes and hop in the sack. Women have become watered down. They give sex at the drop of a hat. It's disgusting. In a time where it's trendy to dress like someone like Paris Hilton, some girls have taken the fashion to a new height, and are now acting it out on a continuous basis. What happened? Girls used to wear dresses. Those have been completely replaced by the mini skirt. Girls used to wear cute, nice little shoes, and maybe some pantihose if they were old enough. Those have been replaced by large black leather boots and fishnet stockings. Kids are not acting like kids anymore. It is as if they are trying to make their lives soap operas at an early age. I hear stories about 13year olds cheating on eachother! Where on earth do you think they get that? Kids are attempting to grow up too fast, and when they do that, they put extra pressure on themselves. Expect there to be more smokers, more drinkers, and more drug abusers in the future if this keeps up at the rate it's going, because it is getting pretty ridiculous. Kids, you've done this to yourselves. Please do not complain about wishing you were younger later on in life.
